6/2/10 Indiana:  Charges unlikely in horse neglect case:  Owners relinquished control of horse and instructed to seek care for six other horses in their care that appear to be under weight. It will be several weeks before it is known if horse will survive. County animal shelter is accepting donations to offset the cost.   (photos)
2/4/10 Indiana:  Five horses seized from Portland farm:  Five of ten horses suffering from hoof conditions, rain rot, lice, other medical conditions. One carcass found. Owner says they are pets but that he's in too deep. County Animal Control has seized 30 horses since first of year; exceeding 2009 totals.   (photos)
9/3/09 Indiana:  Police investigating case of animal abuse in St. Joe County:  Police investigating after driver found horse unattended, walking alongside road. Horse was severely malnourished and has since died.  (photo)
