12/16/09 Kentucky:  Rescue team says starving horses were on public official's property:  Horse rescue team claims public official had dozens of starved horses on his property for weeks. Horses missing when television reporter went to investigate. County magistrate says he was trying to nurse horses back to health after getting them from sale barn and has since taken them back.  (video)  (photos)
9/8/09 Kentucky:  A horse in the yard? You've got to be kidding!  Metro Animal Care Services received call from a man who woke up and found pony in his yard. Nobody has come forward to claim him.  (photo)
7/24/09 Kentucky:  Starved horses confiscated in Mercer County, Kentucky:  Authorities seized 14 starved horses. Emaciated herd included pregnant mares, with last year's weanlings at side. Stallions running with mares, possibly breeding mares not in foal.    (photo)
