More charges: Pineville man facing animal cruelty, bad check charges:
Initially arrested and charged with one count of cruelty to animals, now
charged with 13 counts of animal cruelty, plus issuing worthless checks.
One bad check written to veterinarian in connection with animal cruelty
case. Sheriff's Office spokesperson says horses doing better since they
were seized. They remain in parish custody; are being cared for at
contracted farm. (photo)

Horses reportedly malnourished in Haughton: Four horses
obviously not being taken care of, according to Bossier Parish Sheriff's
Office. Animals will go to public auction. (video)
