Lot: 3-year-old filly, Sundust
Location/Found:
 Cedarville, Ohio
I am a professional trainer and was contacted by some local folks recently. They offered to
give me a 3 year old TWH/RMH filly. They also wanted 30 days put on one of their other horses.  I picked up both horses.  (had alot of fun loading them). The filly has been beaten,
is 200 lbs underweight,  has had strangles,  mud fever,  and of course rain rot. She also had a halter embedded in her nose.  In contrast all 6 of their other horses were beautifully cared for.

Current Status: The first day Sundust was here, she charged me. The second day,
she bit me.  After the bite, she ran to the corner of her stall and stood trembling. I started
holding her grain bucket while she ate, (feed is the only thing I had that she valued). And from there have progressed to being able to enter her stall,  halter her, and groom her thoroughly.
I can also pick front hooves and am working on back feet. This is in two weeks time.

Follow up:
She is really starting to respond to me now. Training has progressed to the
lunge and she is coming around. The lice are gone and her coat is coming in beautifully.
She needs her hooves trimmed but my farrier knew her before and won't touch her.
Everyone is scared of this horse and she is scared of everyone.

5/19/11 Update:  Working with her is difficult and dangerous.  Because she was
raised alone in a tiny pen, she has no foundation for the training.
